Daniela Murgulet, president of the sssociation ‘Continuing Education Center’ has attended the stimulating international conference organised by the IATEFL ESP SIG and Zurich University of Applied Sciences on the 29-30 of June 2018 in Zurich, Switzerland.
The results of developing video resources and integrating them in the ESP couirse book ‘English for Gastronomy’ were presented at the conference as part of the workhsop organised by Daniela Murgulet. It was a privilege to be able to discuss the FELT School project and the video resources developed for the English courses for the vocational schools from Moldova with teachers from different countries. New contacts have been established with teachers interested in exploring the use of videos in language teaching and encouraging student generated course content in the ESP courses.
The conference provided a unique opportunity to attend workshops delivered by teachers from all over the world and discover new apps and platforms used in language teaching as well as tools that can be used in evaluating and monitoring learners’ progress.
We are enthusiatic to share the newly acquired knowledge and resoucres with the English language teachers from the vocational schools and we are honoured to announce teachers from different countries, IATEFL members, have generously accepted to contribute to the development of the CPD programme for the teachers from the vocational schools from Moldova, organising online trainings and sharing valuable resources and experiences during the academic year 2018-2019.
The association ‘Continuing Education Center’ is a member of the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language and a member of the ESP SIG group since March 2018.
